Powerplay Pro HA4600 Headphone Amp from Behringer


Guy who lives by me is selling one for 40 bucks. Thought I might pick it up if its worth it..thanks for any info offered

Hola. What is your application? This device is intended for the home recording market and is used to power multiple sets of headphones for use during recording/monitoring. It won't have hi-fi sound though Behringer gear is usually OK for a while. At $40 you're getting a deal ONLY if you're going to use it the way it's intended, otherwise use your $40 to buy a Cmoy or a PA2V2. That's my thought; I'm a pro-fi user meaning hi-fi is a hobby while music is my profession. Behringer gear is what guys buy when they really want something better but can't get there $$$-wise. That said, I found the headphone jack on my little Behringer 602 mixer to be entirely usable until I bought a dedicated amp for my personal headphones. Hope this helps. Cheers
