I just received my Keces 131 MKII, and I'm not really impressed with the sound out of the box. I bought if off Audiogon, the guy said it was used very little.
I am not experienced in this, so be patient. I have had my HiFiMan EF2 for about 2 months now, and have been using the usb DAC from that (2702).
I liked the sound for the most part, but, of course, wanted to experiment.
Well, I plugged the Keces into my sound card via toslink cable to my amp. Well, it doesn't really sound even as good as the usb amp so far.
I have only had it plugged in for 3 hrs or so, but still...

Any thoughts, comments?

P.S. My source is my pc. I listen to FireFM, and cds through my cdrom. Nothing different than I have been doing.

Yes, definitely. The DAC-19MK3 took about 200 hours to settle.

Thanks, that's good to know. I just thought that was the case with tubes. Now I know better.
That also makes me feel much, much better :0!
