100+ Head-Fier
Would one miss anything by going straight for the premier flagship?
what has better tuning and are you referring to liking the arya v2 or hekv2 over the stealth versions?Better base tuning. I personally found the SE a bit too intense sounding without EQ (I liked the V2 personally over the SE).
lemme introduce you to sr-009Are you talking skipping the HE1000SE and going straight for the Susvara? Depends if you have an amp that can adequately power the Sus's. That alone is another $2-$6k investment. The HE1000SE is far easier to drive, and a much shorter path to audio nirvana.
Comparing the Arya to the HE1000SE, the latter offers a greater level of detail, timbre, speed, and soundstage. For the money, the Arya is unbeatable and a great headphone. The HE1000SE is just on another level when it comes to reproducing those little details that are often missed in other headphones. There are numerous tracks I've demoed comparing the 2 headphones and many of the details heard in a vocalists mouth just before they begin to sing, or the pick of a guitar gently resting on the string before strumming. That is where the Arya falls short.
The Susvara is ridiculous, when powered properly, there aren't any headphones on the planet imo that can match the accuracy, naturalness, speed, and just general package that headphone delivers. It's a treat and a pleasure to listen to if you ever get the chance to. I personally own one and the moment I listened to them, I knew the game had reached its end.
