Is there any way to reduce hifi he500 weight?

Just got a pair of he500 , they are great but
Oh boy, they are heavy.....

I thougt about replacing some of the metal parts with wood maybe. Is there any kit i can buy? Maybe diy guide?

I'm in the same boat, just bought a set off the FS forums. Really like the sound, but their weight might be a dealbreaker for me. There is a headband mod which replaces the stock headband with a stock 400i headband. I've posted in the thread to see anyone can measure weight of the modified headphones.
