and will beyerdynamic leather pads fit ultrasone headphones? mine are shaped more like the hfi series.

nope. I'd love to put the SR325i headband on my HF1, but no dice.

You might ask Larry at headphile if you could buy a lambskin headband from him seperately. If you can, they're not too expensive and better then RS-1 bands anyways.

does it have steel at the base where it connects to the cups? i need a steel pole there so i can weld to it.

what band is it made from?
