Is there any DIY that comes close to Benchmark DAC 1 USB?

Maybe the jitter-immune ultralock you're referring to is some form of ASRC.

I stumbled on this a while ago, maybe it'll be of relevance: Hifiduino - What is asynchrous rate conversion

If you're inclined to do so, you can mess around with Twisted Pear Audio's Metronome, an SPDIF receiver and/or hacking into another DAC (playing around with I²S lines). With this I believe you can get anti-jitter/upsampling with any DAC you can find out there, given that you know where the I²S lines are. Sadly, if you want USB functionality then there's nothing out there that has 24/192MHz yet.

The DAC chip in the Benchmark DAC1,analog devices AD1896 is indeed an ASRC.

Here is a good link to the data sheet. Lots of good info here. Analog Devices : ADI Web Site Temporarily Down

While that chip is present in the DAC1, an ASRC is not a DAC. An ASRC changes the clock rate on a digital signal. It doesn't do any conversion to analog.

According to AMB's post earlier in this thread, the actual DAC chip in use is AD1853.
