Is there any academic or somewhat scientific study showing that 320 kbps aac is audibly different from lossless?

Thanks for all the info. I am not sure I understand it totally. How would you describe the audible differences in the tidal test? Is it just a matter of amplitudes of certain frequencies?

I used a pair of Markl-modded Denon D5000 headphones that already provide a ton of bass, and with the volume raised a bit, I was able to hear differences between the two versions.  The file with a little more bass emphasis was the lossless version, with the AAC 320 version having a slightly lower volume for the bass.  I only concentrated on the bass, as this is easier for me to hear,  but the same issue appears for the treble from 5K to 10K.
