Is there an easy way to tell if a FiiO K9 Pro has the AK4499 DAC chip, or the ES9038 DAC chip, short of disassembling the unit? Serial number range? Any other model designation on the back or base of the unit? I that, due to the AKM factory fire, only a limited number of the units were made/exported with the AK chips.

TIA!

The ESS version is a new version of the K9 Pro that hasn't been released yet. It also will look slightly different from the AKM model (the ESS model will have a gold volume knob).

Thanks... so any K9-Pro currently for sale will be one of the original ones with the AK4499 DAC chip? No ESS equipped ones for sale in the US yet?
