My biggest problem with the z7 is the pads are thin enough that my ear touches the driver (there's very little in the way of a grill.) I've experimented with placing different materials under the rim of the earpads but results weren't great and I'd rather just get a new set of pads, maybe velour since the leather gets hot.

I've already destroyed a pair of pads trying to mod them to fit, so I wondered if there is a guide or known method for replacing the pads with non-stock.
