Im looking for some feelers as far as the subject states. I received my canamp today and after the excitement died when i couldnt find the cables needed... So, here lies the question: Currently, I am using my computer as a source with a microdac and the heed. Is there a best cable to attach the dac to the canamp or will any rca --> 1/8 do?

Physically, any RCA-to-1/8 stereo plug will do.

There are many high regarded cables one of which is the Zu Pivot. Go on ebay and do a search for "Zu Pivot" as Zu Cable sells some of their cables on ebay. You should be able to grab one for about $30.

I forgot to add... the 0.5m is probably a little short since the the connection is from the front of the Micro DAC to the back of amp. Depending on how you have everything laid out, the 1m may be your best bet.

I wound up purchasing the .5m. I was thinking about the 1m, but i have the dac ontop of the amp for now. i figure 1.6 feet is plenty. Worst case the dac will be juxtapose to the amp.
