I have one and it's a good player. I also have the Sony D-915 and I think that it's as good sounding but with a better form factor. The Sony does have the advantage of longer battery life and an excellent anti-skip system but the Panny is a good choice generally.

I've got both the Panasonic CT-570 and Sony D-915 as well, and for the money ($80 vs $150) the Panasonic is a better player. It's probably one of the best PCDP's you can still buy new, the only thing you don't get is CDRW playback. I do like some things about the Sony better, but the Sony has no display on the unit itself, and if you don't use the poorly designed add-on battery pack, you have to use their proprietary gumstick batteries. The Panasonic has built-in capacity for AAA's and a better add-on battery pack for AA's. I'd love to have Sony's remote and optical out (and battery life) on the Panasonic.
