Is the Olympus (E10) better in any way than the Andes (E07K)?

I'm deciding between the Fiio Andes E07 and the Fiio Olympus (E10)

Which would pair better with my Sennheiser HD598s?

According to a few sources on the internet
Both models have a Wolfson WM8740 DAC.
I also read that the amp section is better in the E10.

I'm assuming the Olympus (E10) sounds better since it is not portable, but that is a pretty unfounded claim.

The E07K has the obvious advantage of portability.

Is there any advantage to buying the E10 over the E07K?

I've tried searching the forums and I couldn't really get much in the way of direct comparisons between the E10 and the E07K.

In addition to what both of you have said, are there any other differences between the E10 and E07K? Because I'm seriously considering buying either one of them for my laptop configuration.

I'm leaning towards the E07K because it seems to do everything the E10 does and has the advantage of portability (i.e. use with iPhone etc) and at the retailer which I intend to buy from the E07K is only slightly (<$10) more expensive than the E10.

Also, if I happen to already own a E11, should I still buy the E07K/E10 (for DAC) or are there other superior DACS out there I can pair with my E11? (again for my laptop primarily which I think uses Intel HD audio).

This is all new to me (first time buying amps/dacs) so I appreciate any advice.

Thanks.

E07k can be used as portable amp and also DAC+AMP with PC, but E10 can only work as desktop DAC+AMP.

E07K used MAX97220 as amp , E10 used AD8397, AD8397 is a little better in SQ than E07K's.

The best option for you is E10 if you already have E11.

Dear JamesFiio,

Ah ok. So the E07K doesn't beat the E10 in all respects at least.

Thanks for the info.

Yes, but it is more like compare a Jeep with a 911.
