I'm asking because my Q701 sounded warmer, clearer and fuller with an Objective O2 compared to using a FiiO X5. It was basically a 10% improvement for me and even more as an overall listening experience.
I currently love the HD600's with my current setup, I changed the cable, replaced the inner foam with pantyhose and swapped to an LME49720HA opamp for the O2 (warmer sound tilt and slightly smoother highs). In my honest opinion my current setups sounds so much better than the Q701.

If the O2 isn't enough for the HD600, I've been looking at the Soundblaster X7, JDS Labs Element or Schitt Jotunheim. I'm not exactly interested in shipments outside of North America, DIY or tube amps.

Note: This is not a justification for upgrading, I'm simply asking if there's any technical improvement in upgrading the from an O2/ODAC. I.e. instrument separation/tighter bass response.
