The 883 for Chicks? Not specifically, it's for beginners. Now Harleys as a rule are for POSERS. All show and no go.

Ah; the good ol' days in the 50s and 60s when it was Triumphs' 650s and Harleys' 883 vying to be the "Real Mans" Bike!

The Harley was "more" of a mans bike back then cuz a gal would have a rougher time starting it, and the first time it kicked her heel back up under the seat due to improper use of the spark advance and she needed stitches, it was usually all over.

1340 is now an old man's bike. They haven't made those in what, 10 years?

The general flowchart of Harley ownership is thus:

Women: Sportster

Women who have no idea how to ride but their husbands made them buy a Harley anyway: Sportster Custom (with extra chrome)

Goth Women: Nightster

Male, old enough to drink, young enough to not need viagra: Dyna, Softail

Male, takes viagra: Touring

Male, not old enough to drink: Sportster

Male, with Down's Syndrome: Buell

1%'er: Someone else's Dyna

Male, wanted a V-Max but was told there was a waiting list: V-Rod

Male, used to own a Harley and got sick of the #$*! being in the shop every two weeks but still wants to hang-out with the same riding buddies and drink in the same bars: Victory

Well, imo a true Harley is air cooled (not water cooled)... The water colling don't make the Night Rod a chick bike though.

You're sounding like those porsche drives who bang on about how its heresy that the modern 911s are water-cooled.....(well, technically not just water, but lets not go there).

Be careful, be VERY Careful about treading down this path.
