Is the er6 worth using on an ampless shuffle? | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

I've been seeing on reviews that the er6 needs amping :O i'm going to order a pair of iems tonight and the er6 interests me the most.
Is the er6 and shuffle combo just fine?

The ER6/ER6i doesn't need amping. They're made for ampless portable use.

But! As long as we are at it. I am interested in IEM's that work well without amping (just straight out of my DAP, that sounds as good as an HD580, or at least an HD535). Any suggestions. $200-250 range. Likes Rock, Jazz, real hi-fidelity esoteric stuff,
