AFAIK in 2004 apple took the original commercial from 1984 and edited it to put an ipod in.

That better be the truth otherwise this is just way too weird. IPod's design was from 20 years ago and only recently Apple have the technology to implement their amazingly futuristic device. That just makes me wonder what else apple would have up their sleeves, they might even have the dooms-day device plans.
