I mean it sounds horrible but is the tone similar b/c I'm not sure if there's "different types" or if I got a good one.

White noise sounds closer to ocean waves in my opinion, but yes that's pink noise.

U don't have to ask or guess, when u play a pink noise, the spectrum analyzer (find one anywhere) shows all bars the same height.

My pink noise doesn't sound like ocean waves. It keeps its volume steady.
