Is my"vintage" HRT Microstreamer still worth using?

After drifting away from the hobby for about 5 years, I want to set up a modest but good headphone setup with amp, DAC, and headphones. I bought the new Grado Hemp headphone and want to try it out with an HRT microstreamer that I bought all the way back in 2014. I used the microstreamer as a DAC with an an iPod, but also with an iMac and Schiit Asgard 1.

I know that the microstreamer, and the Asgard 1, probably can't compete with what can be bought today, but does anyone have any thoughts on how the microstreamer or Asgard 1 might stand up today? I tried to look for firmware updates for the microstreamer but couldn't get the firmware updates from the, seemingly inactive, HRT website to download. I just got the headphones yesterday and haven't tried hooking it all up.

I'd appreciate any thoughts on the likelihood of this now old equipment sounding or working well. Also, is HRT kaput? Would the firmware make the microstreamer work better?

Thanks, Keith
