They're coming to SF soon, one of the opening bands which seems strange. But I absolutely love his new album, along with the Microphones albums. But I remember reading bad things about Elvrum live. I've had concerts ruin bands for me-can't listen to Spoon anymore for example, so I'd rather not see him if it's going to stink. Anyone seen him or mount eerie?

Yes. I saw him a couple years back. They (he, really) are fantastic. The live show is very different from the albums, though, so I would avoid it if you expect the album experience live.
