Hey guys, it seems the dt 990 pro is older right? than the premiums? People say that because of that, the new premiums are much more "refined" more detail and better at pretty much everything except BASS which is affected to because of the clamp force?

I'll be using this for Gaming, and bass heavy music like:

http://www38.zippyshare.com/v/53428158/file.html = sub bass @ 0:58 and a kickass starting bassline with http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ge7YR77jHwQ

so bass is a huge MUST, i considered the 770 but EVERYONE says they are just trash compared to 990s.

the price diffrence is not huge so please, help :)!

Is the bass that diffrent while obtaining that new refinement and quality? Also what do you think of using this for my pc with these?

While searching for the dt 990 pro, i've seen 2 designs, i'm awar that there are premium, pro, black edition models, but i saw different designs on 2 pro models, one has "beyerdynamic" written on the sides, while the other one, the most common, has "DT 990 PRO" written. I just want to know what's up with that. Is there a difference? Hope someone could help. Thanks!

Personally having listened to the DT990's I Did not buy them as the highs are unbearable.. OTOH I use my DT770 Pro 80's daily at home here...for gaming and bass heavy music.

I would take the 770 Pro 80's any day over the 990's personally.
