I am thinking of doing a recabling project soon. This time around I am thinking of going all silver
But by the usual rates that they are going, I don't think I can afford any retail silver cables ATM. I have looked on ebay and found some of these bare silver wires sold by chops of few feet. I wonder if I can just use them for cable making, given that I will find appropriate sized teflon on my own to sleeve them with? In the ebay description the wires seem to be for "jewelery", but isn't pure silver just pure silver? I don't think there should be any specificity about "audio grade" material...
