I call impossible, even with a case. Mine already has like a million sctratches on the back and yet the front is immaculate. Oh well.

Man, the chrome on the ipod scrathes if you look at it the wrong way! The only way to keep it perfect is by applying a BSE or invisible shield immediately after opening the box. Which I plan on doing when I get my nano in the mail.

For some reason, I quite like the micro scratches and imperfections on the chromed back of my iPod. I simply think of it as a well used, aged, matured patina.

I like to call them "battle scars"

BTW, I did go through an OCD period when I literally polished my iPod every other day with a micro-fibre cloth and Brasso. I even tried the toothpaste trick

A little off topic, but what are the best cases for the new iPods (the Nano in particular, because that's what I plan on getting)?

I mean, I've found all these and have no idea which to get:

EzGear EzSkin iPod Nano 3G Case

Griffin Elan Form iPod Nano 3rd Gen Case

Ifrogz iPod nano 3G Wrapz

Jivo iPod Nano 3rd Gen Silicon Case

Marware SportGrip iPod nano 3G Case

Switcheasy Biscuit iPod Nano 3G Case

Gear4 Jumpsuit Plus

Gear4 Jumpsuit Shield

Gear4 IceBox

iPod nano 3G Case

The Invisible Shield Full Body Shield

Sorry for such a long list.

I don't think there are any out yet, at least not in Australia.

I got a set of those thin plastic things, which included 3 pieces of plastic, one for the back, screen and click wheel. The plastic won't stick on the click wheel though, so I didn't put it on.

Planning on shopping around for a nice cloth case to protect my tiny 160gb thing. =D
