Is it possible to edit a mp3 track w/o reencoding?

I use Soundforge 7.0 and it works great. Unfortunately, it's a full (Paid for
biggrin.gif
) Version, so I don't know if the crippled version will work.

nero has an editing tool wich is good but it too is paid for. that is if you dont know what a torrent is ....ahem...

yes,you can use the mp3 cutter .it's free, but the UI is alittle bit ugly,it cuts mp3 down to frames so you won't need to decode and encode.
