I have an offer to buy a pair but the owner does not know if he has a 4P or 4S.
 
I will meet him this week and I'm here wondering if I can determine which model it is just by looking.
 
Any hints?

If you have a mini multimeter, take it along with you. The resistance in the 4P signal cable will be 27 ohms, and 100 in the 4S.
