I was just wondering - if I was using a low quality audio source (say, a bad, noisy computer sound card) - would it be possible to damage my ER-6s? Is there anything I could do to protect them that would affect sound quality? Thanks!

The most likely way to damage the ety6 is to overdrive them. Using a 'low quality audio source' only makes the ety6 sound bad, assuming there isn't excessive dc offset.
