Just purchased some PX100s two days ago and I noticed something tonight. Running the upper part of the wire (opposite the jack) through my fingers, the wire coating feels a bit rough. I'm almost certain I haven't mishandled the headphones in the short amount of time I've had them, which is why I'm wondering.

Sorry, it's just my first pair of decent headphones (first time head-fi-er) so I didn't want anything to be messed up.

I wouldn't worry at all, unless you're hearing very odd sound coming from them, it's most likely just some excess rubber from molding, or it could be a matte rubber finish.
