I have a 4g ipod (photo) 30 gig, and there is some sort of jack/output next to the headphone out. Is it another type of output? Can I make use of it to my advantage? What apparatus do I need to have in order to use it? I know it's not exactly a headphone question, but if I can improve upon the flawed headphone out, then my headphone world will be the beneficiary. Thanks for any help . . .

it's a dock connect. it enables the use of remote controls and certain FM transmitters.

Thanks - I wasn't sure, as the label for the headphone jack was near this thing, making me think that i could use it for 'phones. I probably should have known the answer, but I appreciate your help in identifying it.
