I am getting a sony nwz a818.Every thing about the player seems to be fine but there are so many posts complaining it hisses...I will be using it with RE2,ep 630,ksc75 and hd202.So is the hiss so dominant and intolerable..

A818 + IE8 or SE530 or E4G = What hiss? I don't get any any those are mega sensitive IEM.

I tried them in the market for a few minutes with my shure se310 and there were no hiss.maybe I coulndt notice in a few minutes,someone will answer more reliable who uses it for a long time.SQ was superb!

thanks and now i am happy that i am getting it... got the replies i wanted from you people.I will have wait and see how it works with RE2 and worst case is, i will probably switch to some other earphones

I rarely notice the hiss with the stock buds. Its not enough to annoy me. Unlike the 2G Shuffle which I couldn't listen to.

i am looking to upgrade my a818. but only cos i want a 32gb player.
my a818 sounds great, no hiss!!!!!!!
dont use stock buds much, i only use player at home (with ath-ad2000) and in car via car stereo. no problems, great player!
