I signed up for their weekly headphone giveaway offer last month and I apparently won this week's giveaway, the Sennheiser HD238's.

I just wanted to confirm before submitting my address, is this a legitimate offer?

Thanks in advance.

UPDATE
I just wanted to post an update in this thread. I have done multiple transactions with Headphones.com and they are indeed a legitimate business! Their customer service is helpful and responsive, and they often have sales (10-15% off) throughout the year. I would highly recommend Headphones.com to someone looking to purchase legitimate audio gear from the manufacturer (no fakes or knock-offs) and I will definitely be doing business with them in the future.

Gear I have purchased from Headphones.com:
1. Sennheiser HD 238 [now discontinued]
 1. Sennheiser's official webpage
 2. Won through the giveaway on 2011/07/29, used to retail for ~$99 USD
 3. My Head-Fi review
 4. My silent unboxing/written review video on YouTube

2. Shure SRH940
 1. Shure's official webpage
 2. Headphones.com's official webpage
 3. Purchased for $254 USD with a 15%-off discount on 2011/09/01
 4. My Head-Fi review
 5. My silent unboxing/written review video on YouTube

3. AKG K 701
 1. AKG Europe's official webpage (AKG USA's webpage is no longer available for some reason but they still sell the headphones)
 2. Headphones.com's official webpage
 3. Purchased for $297 USD with a 15%-off discount on 2012/11/27
 4. My Head-Fi review is not available yet (I'm still letting them burn-in)
 5. My unboxing video on YouTube

4. Shure SE215-CL
 1. Shure's official webpage
 2. Headphones.com's official webpage
 3. Purchased for $85 USD with a 15%-off discount on 2012/12/03
 4. I will not be doing a review for this product since it was purchased as a gift

I also want to give a huge thank you and shout-out to DavidMahler here on Head-Fi. If you have any questions about Headphones.com, or your orders/transactions, I would recommend sending him a PM about your inquiries as you will get a quicker response from him directly than through the Headphones.com support team.

Consider DavidMahler, headphoneus supremus is working there and that they are a head-fi sponser. They must be trustworthy

Wow I totally forgot to check out Head-Fi's sponsors list before posting this. Thanks for the confirmation.

I could have sworn I saw a promotional discount code for a 15% off your next purchase in one of Jude's latest posts...but it's no longer there I think.

No offense to any of the parties involved, but just because a business entity is a Head-Fi sponsor doesn't make it trustworthy. There have been past incidents in which Head-Fi sponsors were found to be either shady or outright scamming people (i.e., Warren Audio and a couple of other Chinese vendors).

Also a "Headphoneus Supremus" title on a Head-Fi member doesn't mean that member is trustworthy either. That title is merely automatic whenever someone hits 1,500 posts (or at least it used to be, it may have changed). There have been plenty of previous reported incidents in which Headphoneus Supremus members have scammed other members in the FS forums. There are far more reliable indicators of trustworthiness on Head-Fi like FS feedback history, post history, and whether or not a member has attended meets - and if so, the resulting people impressions by other meet attendees.

I see. So, in that case, has anyone had any experience with purchasing gear from Headphones.com?

I decided to order some SE215 along with the iPhone replacement cable from then, seen they had a 15% off discount and so far am extremely disappointed with their services.
I first contacted them through email on the 28th regarding the payment option with google checkout which they completely ignored and it honestly didn't bother me that much but it made me wonder if they just completely ignored all customers who had questions before making a purchase. Either way, after a few days went by I decided to place the order and it was all ok.

Today I received the package from UPS which only contained the headphones and not the iPhone replacement cable. I then went on to calling them and the number listed on their site as contact number was invalid. I tried calling several times from different phones and still nothing.

So now, I've sent them an email and its time to wait, see if they reply soon or not.

IMPORTANT EDIT:
I have been talking to David, the past few days and it seems there was an IT problem on their end which made their emails not get through to customers.
After some chatting and testing on their end problem was resolved. David showed me proof that they had originally replied to my emails and was a very nice person to deal with. I would now fully recommend them to anyone as they have an outstanding staff that will help out with any trouble.

My products have arrived in perfect shape.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear about your experiences. That doesn't sound too fun.

I actually think I void my chance to win the headphones since I submitted 2 entries.

I agree with this.  There are other indicators of trustworthiness.

With this in mind, I do wish to say that Headphones.com is 100% legitimate.

PXSS, please reach out to me directly at davids@headphones.com.  I do not see any emails from a customer regarding this.  I am happy to help you asap.
