Hi, I am pretty happy to listen to music on my iPhone. So, in order to enjoy the most out of it, I would like to pair an extremely portable DAC with the iPhone. Now I have a Dragonfly Red. It doesn't need an extra power source. A camera cable is totally enough.

Just thinking, is this pair (Red + iPhone) the best way to enjoy hi-res music on an iPhone? Please feel free to comment.

I think the Fiio BTR1K is a better option myself, primarily because I'd rather not be tethered directly to the phone.

Fiio BTR1K is a nice choice. But from the tech specs, it seems like that Red has a better performance. Also, more expensive though..

Thanks for the info. But I doubt its sound quality will be better than the Red.

I agree. The Red pretty much fits my requirements for connecting with an iPhone: easy to connect, light weight, small size, good sound quality....

Me too. But I find the volume is totally enough for me when even powering my HD600.

Tried the Chord Mojo with my iPhone, wow, I love it!!!! It sounds much better now.
