Some places I read they're out of business, but I see that their website is still up and fully functional. Only when I try to order something through the website (I want their remastering of the Beach Boys "Pet Sounds"), I get no response from the server. Anyone know what's up with them?

Do not order from the website. DCC is still in the process of getting it together, and you can get more info at: http://cgi.dhot.com/cgi-bin/ubb_foru...ultimatebb.cgi

It's a great board, and they are very knowlegable about music. Just don't open a thread with that title.

The first place to check is Music For A Song for cutouts; just click on gold discs. Not all listed are DCC. Griffco is great, but his website needs updating.

I also order from RedTrumpet, Music Direct, eBay, and half.com. It takes a while before you can determine good prices.

I like DCC discs a lot, and have a bunch of'em. Some are better than others. Here's a website you might be interested in:

I meant to respond earlier. About Pet Sounds: asking prices tend to be high. When you find something you really want, watch eBay for a good while to judge the average going price. Eventually a title will slip past the collectors (who drive prices up).

Half.com: You tend to find good deals here. Be careful because some sellers will list standard CDs under DCC listings. Just read the descriptions carefully.

These are my best DCC discs:

Al Green--Greatest Hits
Badfinger--No Dice
Badfinger--Straight Up
Beach Boys--Endless Summer
Beach Boys--PetSounds
Blondie--Parallel Lines
Cars--Greatest Hits
Cream--Wheels Of Fire
CCR--Bayou Country
CCR--Cosmo's Factory
CCR--Green River
CCR--Pendulum
Deep Purple--Made In Japan
Doobie Brothers--Greatest Hits
Doors--L.A. Woman
Doors--Strange Days
Eagles--Greatest Hits
Eagles--Hotel California
Elton John--Greatest Hits
Heart--Dreamboat Annie
Jethro Tull--Aqualung
Jim Croce--24k Gold In A Bottle
Joni Mitchell--Blue
Joni Mitchell--Court And Spark
Juice Newton--ST
Nat King Cole--Greatest Hits
Roy Orbison--Greatest Hits
Zombies--Greatest Hits

How is DCC's mastering of "Aqualung"?

There's also a new Steve Hoffman information website that I've helped to put together (as most of you know, Steve is the mastering engineer behind all the DCC gold releases), with a fairly complete discography of what he's worked on (at DCC and elsewhere).

I've found that almost everything with his name on the mastering credits is going to sound fantastic.
