I've never seen any of them retail for a penny less than mfr price. Has anyone ever seen any deals on this, or is Benchmark pretty tight about that? Sorry if this has been posted before.

I have never seen any DAC1 been discounted.

Go for a second handed, sometimes the resell value is same as you bought.

DAC-1 product family itself "on sale": have never seen it; to my knowledge, benchmark dealers adhere to an RRP system

however:

1/ you may watch for the occasional short-term, seasonal general discounts at some internet retailers such as musicdirect; or sweetwater and other "pro audio" equipment dealers. i have seen situations where benchmark is not excluded from broader 10 or 15 % "discount off your total purchase" (but please realize these situations are indeed rare).

2/ other option: many pro audio dealers will work with you on package pricing if you were to buy say a DAC-1model plus powered monitors, fireface or other computer interface, or whatever....

Thanks for responding guys! I will keep my eyes peeled. I owned the DAC1 at one point, and regret letting it go, but I just am not sure the series is "fairly" priced.
