I had a good fit with my W5000, the pads covered my ears properly. But I still think they are prone to sounding a bit thin, even when pushed up against the head. One thing to remember is that the earpads can be rotated, the usual recommendation is to have the seam aligned with the cable in each earcup.

I bought em used without trying out first and they ended up my reference phones by a wide margin. I like them very much with X-Can v3 but only after adding Shunyata power cords and Hydra the bass department became totally amazing.

Cool. How expensive are the X-Can v3 amps? I'm going to be needing a good amp but affordable. The HA5000 is too much money for me.
