Yes. I've had lot's of problems with the UE cables.

-Exposed wire, turning the wire all green due to oxidization.

-The monitor becoming separated from the cable connector due to a loose fit once the cable is removed the first time.

Although UE customer service has been great (not sure about now since it's a Logitech company) I got fed up with the cables and went back to Shure.

Okay, a little follow up. So, the lady said she would send me a new cable and, yesterday, it showed up!

Turns out, this one is about 6 inches longer than the previous faulty cable, and it looks aesthetically exactly the same. However, it is not nearly as "brittle" and hangs from my ears a lot more easily and comfortably and doesn't have as much "memory" after I take them out of my case. All in all, quit a bit better wire, and it's nice to start out fresh, bend them around my ears, and keep them that way --- much cleaner. I'm really happy about this new set - more flexible and a little longer. Just what I wanted --- thanks UE!

Same problem here...except my cables are green inside along the entire length.
