Is a Schiit Asgard 2 + Bifrost Uber the way I should go? Options I'm overlooking?

Anything I'm overlooking?  I would prefer a quality all-in-one DAC/HA/Pre, but it's not necessary.  Nothing from Audio-GD I've found seems to match better.

I have a max budget of ~$750  (looking to spend between $500-$750 realistically) and I'm looking for a DAC/Amp/Preamp setup. My current setup is a pair of HD598s and Presonus Eris E5.  Using onboard right now, but will be using optical out.  I'd like to move up a headphone tier soon, and when space permits 8" monitors. But that's as far as I will go.  Just looking to do a single quality purchase to last a long time.

My setup is used for a 50/50 mix between gaming and eclectic music listening...I truly mean eclectic. I listen to Bach or Tchaikovsky while studying. Classic Rock is my daily vice. And every now and then I'll load up King Fantastic. So something truly neutral on the EQ is my best bet.

Thank you.

You should look into the Audio-GD NFB-11 or Compass 2 if you want a combined, all-in-one unit. The new Sabre ES9018 DACs are pretty sweet. I had the Asgard 2 before going with the NFB-11. Definitely nice not to have a heater any more on my desk. LOL

Why do you think they don't match better? What did you find (or didn't find) in the reviews?

In terms of features you get a lot more connectivity options, if what you need is to have it become the central hub for an entire system (that uses both headphones and speakers).

I'm just cautious about the product being an import.  I do know it's high quality.

I love the new NFB-29, but there is a lack of reviews: http://www.audio-gd.com/Pro/Headphoneamp/NFB29/NFB29EN.htm

And I haven't really read much about Audio-GD's stuff as a headphone amp.  I know his DACs kick ass.
