Is a CD worth twice the price of Itunes + ?

I think that for a lot of new musicians and groups having their music distributed on line is "life saving", because it permits them do bypass the "Majors" and make some money from what they produce.

I think that in the future on line buying will be even more used to the point that cds might become something of the past- I read that Virgin is closing it's huge music store in Union Square in New York.
