i think you'd be better off looking at the archos av420. It's out soon in the u.s, and already out in europe! 550usd when released in the u.s!

ok 500 sounds a lot better. i like iriver so i think im going to stick with this brand. .. i have the imp550 now but i want a hd player

Depending on what files you'd want to play on it, the iriver could be a lot more useful than the archos since it states support for mpg whereas the archos one doesn't.
