I tested my friends iriver h320 from line-out with Move and PK1's. The volume of the player effects the volume coming from the Move and I wonder the reason for this. Also, sound from line-out with Move seems to sound the same as if I would use HP-out without Move, maybe even worse.

Any info/experiences about this matter?

The volume is scaled digitally prior to the point in the signal path where the headphone out and line out split. If you keep the volume at full, it is a true line out.

You don't *have* to, but the level from the line out at max volume is equal (or thereabouts) to any other line level output from another source.
