iRiver H320 AC Adapter and usb cable problem

I just got a refurb H320 from eBay and both the AC and USB cables can't be fully plugged. There's 1mm sticking out. So I can't get a good connection unless I push in hard and hold the plug in place. Anyone got a refurb lately with the same problem? Is it the cables or the player?
