Iriver H300 series with video playback?

I'm unsure if whether you can use the 1.20 Korean firmware on US models, but it works on EU and Asia models. Like the h1xx series, there are *many* languages for the h3xx so yea obviously there's english. Quality is hard to judge since I haven't seen videos on tapes for a while haha.

I don;t think the firmware works on the US version due to it having different hardware then the EU/Asia versions

I remember someone at misticriver flashing a non-US firmware to his US H3xx and it didn't work (different hardware is the most probable reason).

I have the US version of the H320, and flashed it w/the Korean firmware and now I've got video....

can anyone comment on the video quality, and the sound quality?
For example does the video LAG and how does it compare to the H100 series.

If you follow the exact intructions of the converting there will be no lag. I believe similar to lossy encoding, the video quality depends on the source. The better the original quality the better the quality on the h3xx. The sound of the video *has* to be 128 bitrate mp3. (using radium codec)

Ya it depends on the source as they say in head-fi GIGO. I've been able to watch Naruto on my H320 and I can say its pretty dammn good IMO.

It depends on your source really, my Naruto episodes were good to begin with and so when i convert it it was good. The subtitles are a bit blurry but still very legible.

I got my H320 yesterday (much excitment) and I've just played around with teh video- I watched a 5 minute clip on it and I was pretty impressed.

The video's pretty good considering that it's on a tiny screen. It's probably best for watching TV episodes rather than something like 'Titanic' or 'Lord of the Rings (extended editions)' though because it is pretty small. But it's good for watching small clips on.

Not to mention the novalty value.

i;ve had mt h320 for about a week and so far i like it. the battery life is good and the sq is a lot better than i thought. it brought out some brightness in my sr-325's but overall its impressive. the voice recording and line in recording work very well. the stock sennheiser earbuds suck btw.
