Howdy-can you please tell me if there is a reapir guy or DIY guy for a fee that can replace the battery in my iRiver H140 player?
I realize there's a tutorial on the Misticriver site on how to do it,but I really really don't want to do it myself and goof up my H140.

Soliciting the services of someone on mysticriver might yield better results than doing so on Head-fi. A friend of mine is about to send his defective H140 to a Rockbox developer on that forum who has offered to try to fix it (because the issue is Rockbox-related). Perhaps someone else will favor you similarly -- especially if you offer to pay.

Another possibility: You could write any number of iPod battery replacement services to inquire whether they'd look at the mysticriver tutorial and consider helping you out. It's a long shot, I know, but they'd doubtless get dungheaps of business once word got out they'd serviced your special unit, Hung Furlough.
