I'm looking for a new player to replace the iRiver H120 I connect digitally to a DAC. I want something that has bookmarking so I can listen to audiobooks on the go. I'm currently using the iRiver at home and work connected to desktop DACs for music. For portable use I'm carrying a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 that I use primarily to listen to audiobooks. I would like one unit that connects digitally to a DAC and has good bookmarking for keeping my place in an audiobook. My wish list is:
Digital Output (usb, optical, coaxial doesn't matter)
Bookmarking
At least 32gb of storage (prefer removable sd card)
Good SQ from Headphone
Reasonable battery life
Not an Apple product
Price $300 or less
Wifi for DLNA streaming would be nice.
I am considering an Android phone or maybe one of the Sony Walkman F series. I'm not sure which meet the digital out requirement. I am looking for a device to use as a player only. I already have a cell phone provided by work. I listen mostly to pop, rock, country, classical, soundtracks.
Any suggestions?
