ephpod 2.58 with a generic cardbus firewire card on a notebook. no problems. the card is almost unpowered.

I have no problem with my 20gig Ipod and Audigy platinum fireward. Guess I got lucky.

You find PCI Latency settings inside the computer's BIOS settings. Look there and see if you can configure yours.
