Since, the Ipod Touch has wifi connectivity, how possible is it to connect through the internet to a desktop (XP) containing audio files for playback?

I have done some research and there seems to be several software options that do this. Has anyone used any who could comment on any skips, quality drops, and overall user interface?

I've been using Simplify Media with OS X and it seems to work great.

I have a huge library and it takes some time for the library to get scanned but once it does, I can stream from my desktop anytime I have a signal. (need to use the desktop companion app and have it open at home)

I believe this works with XP as well.
