iPod Touch Sound Quality

Depending on your headphones, the hiss can be quite prominent and easily noticeable. My ES2s are highly sensitive and the hiss is as loud as I've heard on any iPod I've owned. However, as odd as it sounds, the hiss doesn't affect SQ.

Sound quality is just as good as the 1G shuffle, if not better.

i have the d2 which many people have said is better than iaudio 7 or on par. they seem quite similar (touch and d2) in the face that the audio has a more tailored sound while the ipod seems more suited to neutrality. the d2 is more punchy and thicker sounding but that is just for me, the tailoring to headphones that they do. i think the ipod is not made necessarily for headphones, but with many devices in mind so does not give a huge bass response like d2 and other iaudio devices.

fun: d2
neutral: iPod
