Well she wants Ipod speakers / dock for Christmas. I'd like it to have good bass so it doesn't distort and loud volumes. Budget is say $100. Enlighten me!!!!

I think that "$100", "good bass", and "ipod dock" don't actually go in the same sentence....

 
little ipod dock / boombox things are meant for moderate volume background music, I certainly haven't heard any under $100 that could really handle loud volumes without distortion.

If you could jack up to $400 then I could recommend Edifier iF360 which has great bass on loud volumes without distorting
