Hi,
I have an iPod 4th g.
my question is, how does the iPod compares in terms of sound quality to other HD players like the creative zen touch and others(iAudio,iriver etc...), the zen touch has SNR of 97 db max, does anyone know what is the SNR of the iPod? am I right comparing the iPod sound quality via SNR only?

As I understand it, Creative players have always had higher SNR than Apple. That might have changed with latest gen though. I am not sure.

SNR has almost nothing to do with a player's subjective sound quality, at least with most modern equipment. Neither does channel separation, distortion, crosstalk, etc, etc. Most have good enough measurements.

As for subjective sound quality of those players, either try to listen to one or try the search function as 10 people will have 10 different opinions..
