It is a slightly different Sigmatel chip and there may be issues involving other electrical components in the device. Maybe Creative just bought the rejects and Apple the good ones.

I personally think 512MB and certainly 1GB has to be managed. Yyoo posted some nice features, but I guess it will help only a little bit to walk through the songs. That's why it's called "shuffle". Put some headphones in your ears and off you go. It's just made for that.

Doesn't the iPod Shuffle have a cord to hang it round your neck? I think that's really handy. Shoving those mp3 players in your pocket just sucks. My trousers usually don't have wide pockets. I'm not a skater :P

So... I would go for the Shuffle. It has a certain style too

i think if it's the only mp3 player you r gonna buy, then take the MUVO. i have a 512 white.the sound is good.the clipin popin problem is noway as bad as other people said.(mainly listen to heavy metal ,elctronica, only alittle bit classcal and slow jem) i think Creative is gonna release a new firmware update at the end of FEB,hope they can fix the clippin.but any way i'm really happy with it.

about the LCD Back light buzz, here' s what i do. i use a old school 32ohm head set from the 80's comes with a SANYO walkman.(hey, this head set sounds great!)and the buzz is gone in this case.so i guess a 60 ohm KSC 35 will also do the trick.can any body confirm this?

also you can drag and drop files(in this case ,i don't like the shuffle need to "pre define" space for file use).and EQ comes handy somtimes.
the direct encoding sound qulity is ok,at 160k sounds like 128k encoded from PC.
no need to charge batt,if it dies ,just pop in a new one and you are ready to go.
and it's not so expensive compair to shuffle.($119 on amazon.).the packege come with a belt clip sport case( if you choose shuffle, you pay $29 to get one.

),and a arm band(also you had to pay $29 to get one for shuffle. What)
the only thing i don't like is the SCROLLER(too small for my hands,or maybe my hands are too big

but if you already had a ipod,or you are a Apple user, then i'll said go for the shuffle.it's the best in this case.
i don't have a shuffle ,so i can't compair the sound quality.but i assume it's good.after all, i was gonna go get the shuffle befor i did the research, and at the end i choose N200,CUZ it suits my needs.(som times ideas pop up in my head and i had to make a voice massege to my self, the recoreder comes handy)

ok,hope this can help you.

You don't have to. It's optional.

I meant that too. Setting the partition is optional EVEN WHEN you use it as a USB drive.

yyoo is right there is no 'partition' set for data. The only reason you have to set space is so that autofill leaves space for data if you wish. That being said, even if you filled it to the rim with music then a situation came up where you needed data space you simply delet some song files from the ipod_control folder. You can also copy and move song files in the same way.

The other day my sister had 100 songs on her mini that i wanted and my shuffle was full. Deleted the files off of my shuffle then filled it with the files off of the mini and transferred the files when i got home. All from a computer that was neither mine or my sisters.

MuVo is the obvious choise! whjo would pay $99 for a flash falyer with almost no features, and then pay another $29 for each acessory? plus, in about a year, the battery in the shufle will die and you'll end up paying a small fortune to have it replaced.
with the MuVo, you'll have a lot more features, a more reliable player and it will be a lot cheaper. ( most acessories are included and no rechargable batery which needs to be replaced every year)
The Muvo is a much better player. don't forget that the shuffle is apples first flash based player.

From whom? Cyclone? Don't believe him. He's misrepresenting what he's read.

The sound quality is probably the same. With the muvo you can use its eq to customize it a bit so thats why it may sound better.

The main reason to buy a muvo over the shuffle is because its easier to organize your music. That way if you want to listen to a particular song you can scroll through it easier. With the Shuffle you have to scroll through every song or mark them with some rating system.
