im either getting one of them,

but which one has a better sound quality?

anyone owns both?

now, alot of ppl are going off topic.

i learned that the both use the sigma chips,

but does anyone know which sounds more better?

i personally dont use the eq function

i just listen to the normal eq.

i have Creative MuVo TX FM and i think the sound quality is so so.

is upgrading to an ipod shuffle would be a good idea?

also, the muvo tx you can organize files in folders but i think when you

skip to the next track, the delay in between the tracks is big. (around 1 sec)

does ipod shuffle skip to next song faster?

i dont care about the lack of screen and stuff

i just want to know which would sound better.

i heard) the sound on the shuffle isnt bad but it aint good. its just better than you would expect to come out of a tiny little player like that.

i would choose shuffle. larger capacity, cheaper, smaller and simpler. if I have a flash based mp3 player, I would only put my favorite songs in it, so there is really no need of a screen to me.

Have you actually listened to an iPod Shuffle?

They both have SigmaTel sound chips. The sound from the Shuffle is very good.

so you have a couple hundred favorite songs? what happens when you want to hear your ABSOLUTE favorite song, and it's on there somewhere??? I personally leave my Zen Touch on Full Random, or random by genre, but there are times where a certain song just makes me really really want to hear the rest of the albulm (radiohead does this to me, it just puts me in a mood).

I dont know how I find a song in flash based mp3 player. in HDD based player, I can navigate thru my whole library. so, I assume that the only one way to find a song is to press forward and the next song appears on the screen. so, thats exactly what I do with a shuffle except for I cant see the name of the song, right? I just need to spend a few seconds to listen to the content of each track if I want to find the track I am in the mood to listen to.. When I travel with my ipod, I have my ipod in my pocket most of the time. the only operations I use are pause/play and forward. I really dont have the time to take my ipod out and change the songs I want to listen to. so, thats why I think ipod shuffle is great on the go.

EDITED: I would not choose shuffle when listening to some music not on the go. I would not choose any other flash based mp3 players in this situation either.

There's a couple of ways to make things easier for yourself when looking for a particular song on the Shuffle. First you can put your songs in album order and then use the non-random mode of the Shuffle. Second, you can put your very favorite songs at the top of the list and whenever you want to got to the top of the list hit the play button 3 times in rapid succession (in under one second). Apple squeezed a lot of useful functionality into this little thing and I'm pleasantly surprised at the variety of things you can do with your Shuffle playlist.

P.S. You can also put your songs in your star-rating order and use the non-random mode.

I don't know how both sounds (it the N200 sounds like my NX, it should suffice portable usage).

I have held the N200 in my hands and it was

tiny. REALLY REALLY REALLY tiny. I was surprised.

Go with the Muvo. You can organize stuff in folders, that's how you navigate in there...

Depends on what you want to do with it. If thats going to be your main player, I'd think you'd want a screen. If its going to be only a secondary type player used only for excersizing or the like then no screen is ok. Oh if you like to play with equalizer settings, go with the muvo.

no but im quoting from a reviewer that i cant remember. he's on some board that i was on when i was all pissed at apple for making such a crappy product. he liked the sound but he said that its not "very good" as you put it but more of an 7 to 8 out of 10 which considering its size and how bad the mini sounds compared to its competitors is very good coming from apple. but still even if the sound is the exact same your still going to want to go with the creative. you just cant compete with a player that has a screen. unless your selling to people that dont care because its an ipod.

Can't remark on sound quality, but I'd say the advantages for the iPod shuffle are a) price, b) plugs right into USB port and maybe c) iTunes. Everything else goes for the Muvo Micro.

Another vote for the Muvo, awesome sound quality, screen, loads of features, great sound quality, has a screen! and has a 5 band customisable EQ and a bunch of presets.

Whoever said the Shuffle is smaller doesn't know what they're taking about
