I would appreciate any recommendations, for some IEM's that would be used with an Apple iPod Shuffle. I usually listen to New Age (O'hearn, Helpling), Classical. Many thanks.

If you want to go un amped, check out the Etymotic ER-6i. If you want to get an amp, Shure e4c, Etymotic ER-4s, Westone Um2, Super.fi 5, list goes on

Can't agree! In my experience iPod drives Shures (E2c, E3c, E4c) and UE Super.fi 5 Pro extremely well and these phones don't benefit all that much when hooked via line out to amps I've tried (Total Airhead, Creek OBH-11). That especially true for extremely sensitive Super.fi 5 Pros. Amp neccessity you're talking about may be true for high impedance ER-4s but I really doubt that in this respect mentioned Shures, UEs and Westones, all designed to be driven by portables, are any different from ER-6i.

The ER4Ps work great with the shuffle unamped, as well. The shuffle has a pretty strong amp. It even does a decent job driving my beyer 770/250s

The Westone UM2 is very sensitive and extremely easy to drive. No amp is required. The E4c also sounds good without an amp but really shines (deeper, tighter bass, improved mids and highs) when using an amp.

Who would use a portable amp with a Shuffle?... I mean really...?

Personally I'm currently kissing the sky with the Shuffle/E4C combo and now that I've worn out the foamies and moved to the modded the triflanges I'm lacking nothing. I have everything I desire in my shirt pocket. Hands free bliss.

The tri-flanges even bring bass to rock tracks where the foamies coudln't.

I just need to learn the signing for "I'm deaf" as this morning a stranger asked me something at the ferry stop and It was an awkward moment.

Just out of interest, what mod did you do to the tri-flanges?
I tried them and they seem to stick out awfully far! they weren't uncomfortable, and I'm pretty sure I had a good seal.
